The Victorian period two-seater sofa, or settee, having the original upholstered carpet moquette velour in a sage green ground with madder rose/amber, peacock blue and gold patterning, displaying a beautiful natural fade, the whole with a rolled back and shaped arms with rope piping to turned front legs and castors to rear sabre legs, the whole surviving from the zeniths of nineteenth century England.

In relatively good condition, the sofa has survived well with no alterations to its original state. There are some cat scratches to the front arms but this aside there are no rips, tears or punctures. The springs still sit up well and she can be used as is. As with all carpet sofas the fabric has colour fade in places and can appear a different hue dependent on lighting and the direction of the pile. The front castors are original and present and we have given her a light clean.

A very pretty and original example and always high in demand.
