The large and good quality beech framed open armchair with the beautifully worn black painted finish to the whole, a black suede seat and prominently shaped arms to a pierced back with unusual splat bearing a key of life type motif, to tapering legs and spade feet, the whole surviving from the George III period.

The chair is in lovely original untouched order making it hugely appealing. The frame is in good order throughout with only minor scuffs and a good patina and colour. It proves a comfortable chair for its type due to it being more roomy than the majority of similar ilk.

An unusual example; both wonderfully decorative and comfortable enough to use everyday.
