SOLD
Origin: English
Period: Late Twentieth Century
Provenance: Unknown
Date: c.1990
Width: 16 inches
Depth: 6 inches
Height: 14.5 inches
The three quarter bust study of a androgynous man in composition plaster, weathered and discoloured from the elements and in decorative condition.
The bust has condition issues but because of the way its presented it really doesn’t matter. It has surface dis-colouration with lichen and moss forms having been outside which is why it proves interesting to look at. There is green and rather interesting blue deposits to the whole. The head has at some stage become detached from the neck and re attached so there is a join mark. The nose has chipped loss.
This well proportioned piece has something that is hard to put ones finger on; it is almost a futuristic sculpture that has been left out in the rain on earth in the year 2350 yet has found its way back to 2015; entrancing.
