The large and fine stuffed and mounted barn owl (Tyto alba) specimen, spread-eagled amidst take-off from a Georgian period rococo gilded gesso architectural fragment with foxed mirror plate, distressed, the whole a sculptural concoction surviving from the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.
