The late nineteenth century oval wall mirror in softwood having a gesso and silvered giltwood frame of berried foliage and flowers, the bevelled oval glass surrounded by a ribbon moulded border, the whole with a good patination, surviving from late nineteenth century Italy.
The mirror is in very attractive, original and decorative condition. She has her all-original plate glass throughout which has speckled foxing. There are some losses to the gesso and carvings as per the photographs but nothing major. The back has been replaced at some stage.
A very sweet and pretty mirror that would work very well in a bathroom or hallway.
