SOLD
Origin: French
Period: Early Twentieth Century
Provenance: Unknown
Date: c.1920-30
Height: 28.25 inches
Diameter of Top: 22 inches
The thin circular steel top over a weighty yet elegantly shaped industrial tripod base with swept arched legs and conjoining stretcher, the whole with an attractive patination of rusting and wear to the silvered paint now tinged with a soft green hue, survives from the first quarter of twentieth century France.
The table is in super decorative condition, there are no flaws or deficiencies to note. The plate top has a nice patina and worn sheen and the legs have a commensurate amount of rusted wear associated with exterior use.
Useful, practical, edgy and timeless are all words that express what industrial furniture has come to mean and like traditional antiques they improve with age and the distress that comes hand in hand with their daily use.
Bearing a shape that is simply to die for.
